Welcome to Wera Aotearoa Charitable Trust, nestled in the heart of Whakatane, a vibrant city that mirrors our spirit of warmth, growth, and compassion. Since our inception, we've been dedicated to empowering young hearts and minds, fostering resilience, and promoting self-reliance within our community. We are more than just a Charitable Trust; we are a beacon of hope for those seeking guidance, support, and opportunities for personal growth. Our mission is deeply rooted in the belief that every young person deserves a chance to flourish, regardless of their background or circumstances. We strive to provide comprehensive youth services tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual. Our journey began with a simple vision: to create an environment where young people can learn, grow, and thrive. Over the years, we've expanded our horizons to offer employment support, helping young adults find their footing in the workforce. We understand that the path to independence is often challenging, and our team is there every step of the way, offering mentorship, guidance, and encouragement. We also recognize the unique challenges faced by pregnant youth and new parents. Our pregnancy and parenting support services aim to ease the burden, providing practical advice, emotional support, and resources necessary for a smooth transition into parenthood. But we don't stop there. We've recognized the importance of financial literacy in shaping a brighter future, and so we offer budgeting and help with debt. Our trained professionals work closely with individuals to create personalized financial plans, helping them take control of their finances and secure a stable future. At Wera Aotearoa Charitable Trust, we believe that every young person deserves the opportunity to develop and grow. That's why we invest in our community, offering youth worker training programs designed to cultivate the leaders of tomorrow. We provide the tools, resources, and mentorship necessary for our trainees to become effective change-makers within their communities. In essence, we are a family - a supportive, nurturing community that believes in the potential of every young person. Join us as we walk together on this journey of growth, empowerment, and transformation. Together, we can create a brighter future for our youth and our Whakatane community.

“Podiatrist didn’t explain what she was doing as she proceeded. When she finished treatment carried on sorting out equipment until I asked if she had finished. She hurt throughout. My foot requiring most treatment still hurts.Am in my eighties.Won’t be going back. Was pleased to find a place near me to have treatment but will be taking 2 buses next time to go much further to a gentle operator!”
