Welcome to Southern Baits, your trusted fish merchants nestled in the heart of Auckland. Established with a passion for all things aquatic, we've been part of this vibrant city's culinary landscape since the turn of the millennium. Our story began when a group of friends, bound by their shared love for fishing, decided to transform their pastime into a thriving business. We pride ourselves on offering an exquisite array of fresh fish, from the humble eel to the majestic lobster and everything in between—crayfish, crab, you name it! Each morning, our dedicated team heads out at dawn, casting their nets into the sparkling waters that surround Auckland. The day's catch is then carefully processed right here on our premises, ensuring that each piece of fish arrives to you as fresh as it was moments after leaving the ocean. Our commitment to quality doesn't stop at the fish we offer; we believe in building strong relationships with our valued customers. Whether you're a seasoned chef looking for the perfect ingredient or a home cook seeking inspiration for your next meal, we're here to help. Our knowledgeable team is always on hand to share their insights and provide recommendations tailored to your needs. In addition to serving Auckland, Southern Baits also takes great pride in our role as an exporter of fine New Zealand seafood. With a network of trusted partners around the globe, we're able to share the bounty of our waters with fish lovers far and wide. No matter where you are, we invite you to experience the freshest, most flavorful seafood that Aotearoa has to offer. At Southern Baits, we're more than just fish merchants—we're a community of passionate individuals united by our love for the sea and the delicious treasures it yields. Come join us on this incredible journey as we bring the wonders of the ocean straight to your table. Kia ora and welcome to Southern Baits!

They use NZ Post
“They use NZ Post - known for it's ill-reputation of poor communication, incompetent staff and delivering to the wrong address. After making a correction to my address, NZ Post was still failing to deliver the items. When I went to P&C for help, they took the side of the courier company rather than see the problem for what it was - a now correct address but still no delivery or means to collect the items. This is terrible customer service, and using NZ Post is asking for trouble. Shop elsewhere.”
