Nestled in the heart of Nelson, Te Korowai Trust is a beacon of hope and support for countless families in need. Established with a vision to empower and uplift our community, we've been tirelessly working towards that goal since our inception. At our core, we are welfare organisations dedicated to the wellbeing of our mokopuna (young children) and their whānau (families). We understand the unique challenges that families face during the crucial first 2000 days, which is why we've developed the Mokopuna Ora Connector. This program provides a nurturing environment where young children can thrive and families can grow stronger, supported by our compassionate team every step of the way. We also stand as a pillar of strength for those affected by Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD). Recognizing the complexities and unique needs of these families, we offer dedicated support through our FASD Connector program. Our aim is to help families navigate their journey with understanding, compassion, and effective strategies. Beyond supporting individuals, we strive to equip our community with valuable skills for life. Through our Superskills program, we provide life skills training and employment opportunities that empower individuals to take control of their futures. We also understand the importance of fostering a strong connection to whenua (land) and promoting healthy eating practices. As Koanga Kai Maara Lead, we encourage sustainable farming and food security, ensuring our community always has access to nutritious kai (food). Recognizing that financial stability is crucial for overall wellbeing, we offer Financial Mentors who provide financial literacy education, helping individuals manage their finances effectively and overcome debt. Our Social Workers are here to support families navigating complex problems, offering guidance and resources during difficult times. In the context of Oranga Tamariki, we act as Kairangahau ā-Whānau, offering cultural guidance and advocacy for our whānau within the system. We strive to ensure that each individual's unique identity and culture is respected and celebrated. At Te Korowai Trust, we are more than just a welfare organization—we are a community, a family, united by our shared vision of a stronger, healthier Nelson. Come join us as we continue our journey towards a brighter future for all.

Sausages( beef) & scotch fillet
“Jaffa. Have been searching for sausage that reminded me of my childhood. The beef sausages did exactly that. I,m a jaffa & searched from Pokeno bacon to the Northshore & in between. And have not found a flavoursom banger like these. All the so called gourmete sausages & all the so called sausages of the year are filled with preservatives & bread crumbs & leave you wondering . So thumbs up to little old Morewa to bring home the bacon🤣 As for scotch fillet tops too👍 Will be stopping in again”
Excellent
“Had a problematic washing machine still under warranty. They came to assess, had to take it away and brought it back fixed a week later. Nice and friendly, no problems.”
Bad
“My mother when into buy a new iPhone and the sales person put her old SIM card into the new phone. At the point of sale charged her $20 for this. This charge was not disclosed to her until very end!”
