Nestled in the heart of Auckland, Operation Christmas Child has been a beacon of hope for over two decades. As a welfare organization, we've dedicated ourselves to making a tangible difference in the lives of children around the world who are less fortunate than many of us here in our vibrant city. Our story began with an idea: to fill shoeboxes with small gifts and distribute them to children living in impoverished conditions, bringing them joy and a reminder that they are not forgotten. Over the years, this simple act of kindness has grown into a global movement, touching the lives of millions of children and their communities through our partnerships with churches and charities worldwide. Each shoebox we collect and distribute is more than just a box; it's a symbol of hope, love, and encouragement. Inside, you might find toys, school supplies, hygiene items, and a personal note, all carefully selected to bring a smile to the face of each child who receives one. But our work doesn't end there. We also provide resources for The Greatest Journey discipleship program, ensuring that these children not only receive physical gifts but are also given the opportunity to learn about God's love and the Gospel. But we can't do it alone. Our mission is fueled by an army of volunteers who give their time, energy, and compassion to make this incredible work possible.
