Nestled in the heart of the breathtaking Waikato region, Taupo District Libraries proudly serves its community with a passion for knowledge and connection. Established over five decades ago, we've grown from a humble collection of books into a vibrant hub that enriches lives through literature, learning, and outreach services. Our story began when a group of visionary locals recognized the power of shared stories and opened their doors to the community. Today, we stand as a testament to that original dream - a place where people from all walks of life gather to learn, grow, and connect. Walking into Taupo District Libraries is like stepping into an oasis of ideas. Our shelves are lined with thousands of books, covering every genre you can imagine - from the latest bestsellers to timeless classics. But that's not all! We also offer a vast array of eBooks, ensuring our patrons always have access to the books they love, wherever they may be. But we're more than just a library; we're a gateway to a world of opportunities. With our reliable Internet access, you can research, learn, and explore at your fingertips. Whether you need to complete a project, study for an exam, or simply keep up with the latest news, our Wi-Fi is always on and ready to help. We understand that life can be busy, which is why we offer flexible renewals and book searches. If you find yourself unable to visit us during our opening hours, don't worry! You can easily renew your books online or call us to arrange a convenient pick-up time. And if you're looking for something specific but can't seem to find it, let us know - we'll do our best to track it down for you! Our outreach services extend beyond the walls of our libraries, bringing the magic of reading and learning to those who may not be able to visit us. From bookmobiles that roam the district to home delivery services, we strive to ensure everyone in our community has access to the resources they need. At Taupo District Libraries, we're more than just a place for books; we're a community that values knowledge, connection, and growth. We invite you to visit us, explore our shelves, and become a part of our story. Whether you're a lifelong learner or a curious mind seeking new horizons, there's a place for everyone here. Welcome to Taupo District Libraries - where stories come alive!

You have some wicked courage
“Providing help for both communities so the protesters can protest and everybody else can keep on keeping on.”
Unprofessional and incompetent
“Absolutely abysmal service. Doesn't listen and is very disorganised. Appears to have no administrative support so you'll be paying her excessive hourly rate so she can type poorly written emails and double book your appointments. I realise that she already has a poor reputation in Nelson (and now NZ) but my review is entirely based on her substandard service which is, quite frankly, unprofessional. AVOID at all costs. NB - she's created another profile to dodge poor feedback so reposted here”
