Nestled in the cultural heart of Wellington, Solander: Works On Paper is a vibrant art gallery, where original artworks, exquisite framing, and a passion for all things paper-bound come together to create an immersive and inspiring experience. Established over two decades ago, our humble beginnings started with a shared love for the artistic process, and a commitment to nurturing local talent. Walking into Solander feels like stepping into an artist's studio, brimming with creativity and thoughtful design. Our gallery walls are adorned with an ever-evolving collection of original works - from the bold and abstract to the intricate and detailed. Each piece tells a story, a testament to the unique vision and skill of our diverse roster of artists. Beyond our gallery space, we offer bespoke framing solutions that complement and protect your artwork like a second skin. Our experienced craftspeople are adept at transforming ordinary frames into works of art themselves, ensuring your masterpieces receive the attention they deserve. But Solander is more than just an art gallery; it's a creative community hub. We host regular workshops and classes for both beginners and seasoned artists alike, offering the opportunity to learn new techniques, explore mediums, and connect with like-minded individuals. Our consulting services are designed to guide you through the intricacies of curating your own collection, whether it's a single piece or an entire gallery. Our design and hanging services ensure that every artwork finds its perfect home within your space, enhancing both the aesthetic appeal and the emotional resonance of your surroundings. With Solander, transforming your walls into a living canvas has never been easier. At Solander: Works On Paper, we believe in the power of art to inspire, heal, and connect us. We invite you to join our creative journey, to explore, discover, and create with us, as we continue to enrich Wellington's artistic landscape one work at a time.

Terrible and dishonest.
“On purchasing a Subaru Outback, faults were found in an AA report which were promised to be fixed before pickup. They lied saying they had fixed them before the sale when they had not done so. On pick up of the car, I found further engine faults which they promised to rectify however never have, even with multiple follow up calls. Do not buy a vehicle from them, they are not trustworthy. They are a mechanic shop selling multiple cars under the pretence that that had been their personal vehicles.”
Mr cant fix it
“Don't bring anything here to repair its to hard for them to fix unless they are just swapping boards over in the appliance. They dont know how to fix things the old fashioned way using your brain with a soldering iron. If you can swap a board in a your pc you can do the same if your appliance brakes down if its under 5 years old. dont get them to fix it. Just buy the part and fix it you self. I took in a simple radio in for them to fix and they said it was to old. It is fixable according to othe”
