Nestled in the heart of Tokomaru Bay, along the pristine shores of Gisborne, stands a beacon of cultural heritage and community spirit - Pakirikiri Marae. Established by the indomitable Te Whānau-a-Ruataupare, this Maori Organisation is deeply rooted in the rich tapestry of Ngāti Porou. For generations, we have been a sanctuary for students, individuals, and women seeking solace, knowledge, and connection to our ancestral past. Our Marae, or 'meeting house', has been a place of gathering, learning, and growth since time immemorial. It is here that stories are shared, traditions are upheld, and the spirit of Aotearoa's indigenous culture flourishes. Whether you're a visitor seeking to immerse yourself in our customs or a local eager to reconnect with your roots, Pakirikiri Marae welcomes you with open arms. Located at 29 Beach Road, we stand as a proud symbol of resilience and unity within the wider Gisborne community. Our doors are always open for those who wish to partake in our cultural experiences, learn from our wisdom keepers, or simply enjoy the warmth and hospitality that is synonymous with our people. At Pakirikiri Marae, we are more than just a Maori Organisation; we are a living testament to the enduring spirit of Ngāti Porou. We invite you to join us on this journey as we celebrate our heritage, embrace our future, and continue to strengthen the bonds that bind our community together. Whether you're here for a day or a lifetime, know that Pakirikiri Marae is your home away from home. As we stand on the precipice of a new era, we remain committed to preserving and promoting our unique culture. Through our educational programs, cultural events, and community initiatives, we strive to ensure that the legacy of Ngāti Porou and Pakirikiri Marae continues to thrive for generations to come. Join us as we embark on this exciting journey together, and let the spirit of Aotearoa guide your steps through our doors and into the heart of our people.

Shocking
“He must be drinking because his work is crap and he over charged me.”
Bad
“Have an appointment for glass replacement @10:00am & it took them 6 hours and a half before they said that I can get the job done at 4:30pm. Very poor service ”
All talk unprofessional
“Doesn’t prepare doesn’t do what sad doesn’t respond to emails phone calls ver interested when first contact then useless seems collecting ACC fees is all good at”
Worst fish and chips ever.
“I had been a regular customer until today. They must have changed their chips from Mr. CHIPS to some cheap chips which were soaked in oil and contained some double fried left over bits and pieces of dark oil soaked chips. The fish filets were half the amount of the oil drenched batter. We could not eat it and put it in the rubbish bin. I loved to go there in the past but todays order 2 fish fillets and one scoop of chips was not eatable, lets hope everyone else have a better experience.”
