In the heart of Waikato, nestled among the vibrant tapestry of our region, stands PPTA - your steadfast partner in education and unity. Established in 2013, we've been the voice of teachers, advocates for change, and a beacon of support for over eight years. We're more than just a union; we're a family, united by shared passions, dedication, and a commitment to resolving workplace issues with unwavering resolve. We recognize that every educator brings unique insights and experiences, and we cherish this diversity. Our union offers a rich array of membership education courses and seminars tailored to enhance your professional growth, equipping you with the skills and knowledge to excel in your role. We're not just about solving problems; we're about empowering educators to shape the future of our children, our communities, and our nation. In a world that is increasingly interconnected, we understand the importance of staying informed and connected. Our online platform provides a wealth of information, resources, and networking opportunities, ensuring you're always at the forefront of education trends. We're proud to be advocates with the Teaching Council, working together to ensure the highest standards are upheld in our classrooms. However, we know that education isn't one-size-fits-all, and neither is our support. In a Māori context, our union is deeply committed to fostering an inclusive environment where tikanga Māori (Māori customs) are respected and valued. We strive to provide advice and support that reflects the rich tapestry of Aotearoa's cultures, ensuring that every educator feels seen, heard, and supported. At PPTA, we're more than just a union; we're a community. We invite you to join us on this journey, to become part of our story, and together, we can shape the future of education in Waikato and beyond.

“Today I bought 2 nonslip mats wrapped in plastic, difficult to remove, and more unnecessary plastic to be disposed of”
Poor
“Unfortunately this group are founded and corner stoned in the believe of segregation. Even though they are a psychologist group they do not respect individuality or personal views and would rather belittle people and their views. Psychologist duty are to respect people and their views, to help them grow, to be non judgemental and supportive in a safe space. It seems in this group of psychologist personal views are more important than client/patient health and well-being”
