More Information about Ngati Koata Trust

Nestled in the heart of Nelson, New Zealand, Ngāti Koata Trust proudly stands as a beacon of Maori resilience, unity, and progress. Established with deep roots in our ancestral land, we are an integral part of the rich tapestry of Maori organisations that have called this region home for countless generations. Our story is one of connection, cooperation, and collaboration. We are a collective of Ngāti Koata whanau (extended family), united by shared values, traditions, and aspirations. Our trust was founded on the Treaty of Waitangi, which serves as the cornerstone of our nation's bicultural relationship. It is this sacred bond that guides us in our pursuit of justice, equity, and prosperity for all. As a Maori Trust, we are entrusted with the stewardship of our resources - both physical and cultural. This responsibility is not taken lightly. We strive to manage these assets wisely, ensuring their preservation for future generations while also harnessing their potential to drive sustainable growth and development. From fisheries management to local government relationships, we are committed to playing an active role in shaping the future of our community. Environmental stewardship is at the heart of who we are. We recognize that our wellbeing is intrinsically linked to the health of our environment. As such, we work tirelessly to protect and preserve the pristine beauty of our lands and waters, ensuring they remain vibrant and abundant for generations to come. At Ngāti Koata Trust, we are more than just a Maori organisation. We are a living, breathing embodiment of our culture and history. We invite you to join us on our journey, as we work together to build a brighter future for our people and our place. Aroha nui (great love) and manaakitanga (hospitality) await you here at Ngāti Koata Trust.

“Great service from a top bloke”

Poor workmanship and terrible Service

“I had to give him 1 star as the system won't let me give ZERO out of FIVE. Does not stand by his work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Had a key cut but the blank he used was too thick for my lock. He would not believe me even though I showed him the difference in thickness between the original key and the one he cut for me. He charged me for another key which he said would fit. NOW I HAVE 2 KEYS WHICH DON'T FIT!!!! Serves me right for trusting him. It is not worth my time and gas to go through this agai”
