More Information about Maori Women's Welfare League Inc

Nestled in the heart of Wellington, New Zealand, the Maori Women's Welfare League Inc has been a beacon of hope, strength, and unity for over seven decades. Established in 1951 by a group of visionary Māori women who sought to improve the lives of their fellow sisters, we continue to uphold their legacy with unwavering dedication. We are more than just an organization; we are a family that extends far beyond our walls. We are a collective of passionate individuals, each bringing unique skills and experiences to serve the well-being of Māori women and their families. Our work is deeply rooted in Maori culture, values, and traditions, ensuring our services resonate with those we aim to help. Our mission extends beyond the boundaries of our city. We partner with various Maori Trusts, collaborating on projects that promote health services, target high-risk families with young children, and manage diseases that disproportionately affect our community. We are more than a service provider; we are advocates, allies, and friends in times of need. In the spirit of manaakitanga (hospitality), we host fundraising and awareness events about breast cancer, a disease that affects many of our whānau (family). These events not only raise funds for essential research and treatment but also provide a platform for education, support, and solidarity. Sports have always been a vital part of Māori culture, and we proudly organize and coach sports teams across various age groups. Through these teams, we foster a sense of teamwork, discipline, and self-confidence in our members – skills that extend far beyond the sports field. We invite you to join us on this journey. Whether you seek support, wish to contribute your skills, or simply want to learn more about our work, we warmly welcome you. Together, we can continue to strengthen our whānau and preserve the rich heritage of Māori culture for generations to come.

First Class

“I Found these workers very fast and efficient.I am very pleased with the work on my property. I would recommend this firm to others.J.A.S.C.”

Poor workmanship and service

“We had two bathrooms tiled floor to ceiling in a new build architectural house. We were left with chipped tiles and also some tiles that were drumming(not glued down adequately) . We have had to make an insurance claim for the removal of all floor tiles& replacement along with underfloor heating elements which involves the removal of toilets, vanities and bath. Would not recommend Todd Mudie's to anyoine.”
