Please wear enclosed footwear and warm clothing in the winter. Bring a picnic and enjoy the nearby playground, or walk along the beach and enjoy the seaside. Views extend from Mana Island and Pukerua Bay in the south to the South Island, and Kapiti Island in the west.

The railway is a mixed-gauge (5 inch and 7¼ inch) club track, offering rides to the public on Sundays between 1 and 4 pm, some public holidays, and private hire by arrangement. Track opening is weather dependant, so check our Facebook page for Sunday morning updates.
