More Information about Detour

Welcome to Detour, proudly nestled in the heart of Otago, where tradition meets innovation, and style transcends trends. Since our inception, we've been more than just a menswear store; we're a sanctuary for gentlemen seeking an exceptional wardrobe experience. Our journey began with a simple vision: to provide a unique blend of timeless classics and contemporary designs that cater to the discerning gentleman. Over the years, we've grown beyond our humble beginnings, expanding our offerings to include a wide array of footwear, vests, cufflinks, and more. Yet, we remain committed to our roots, offering expert alterations services to ensure each piece fits as perfectly as it looks. Detour is deeply rooted in the vibrant city of Otago, reflecting its resilient spirit in every stitch and seam. Much like the radio communication towers that punctuate our skyline, we serve as a reliable guide for those navigating the sartorial landscape. We're not just a store; we're a beacon of style in this dynamic city, always ready to offer advice on the latest trends or help you find that elusive piece to complete your ensemble. But our connection to Otago goes beyond its physical boundaries. As a telecommunication hub, Otago is constantly evolving, much like the world of menswear. We embrace this change, staying ahead of the curve while remaining grounded in classic principles. Just as road detours lead to unexpected discoveries, we believe that fashion should be an adventure, guiding you on a journey of self-expression and confidence. At Detour, we're more than just your local menswear store. We're your trusted partner, here to guide you through the ever-changing landscape of style. Whether you're searching for the perfect pair of boots, a stylish vest, or simply need a quick alteration, our doors are always open. Come, join us on this sartorial adventure and let Detour be your guide on the path to timeless style.

Back Pain

“Only person to relieve this for me”

Poor

“Expensive design agency - the designs are okay. Really depends on which designer you get.”

Incredible!

“MD Photography were absolutly brilliant!, professional, friendly and we absolutly love our wedding images”

A scoundrel and a drunk

“I had to pick him up from the bus station, he seemed a bit eccentric at first however once i got him into work on the piano I noticed that he was drunk. He dropped glue all over the keys, flattened the piano making it worse than it was. He needs professional help. He should be struck off as a piano tuner. Future clients BEWARE!”

Excellent

“Very helpful sales guy that came out, he knew a lot about garage doors. Door looks great, so much better than my old one.”
