More Information about Deaf Aotearoa NZ

Located in the heart of beautiful Canterbury, Deaf Aotearoa NZ has been a beacon of hope and support for over four decades. As a dedicated Welfare Organisation, we've made it our mission to empower, uplift, and advocate for the deaf and hearing-impaired community in New Zealand. Our journey began with a simple yet powerful vision: to ensure that every individual who is deaf or hearing-impaired has equal access to opportunities and services available to their hearing counterparts. Today, we stand tall as a leading organisation, offering a comprehensive suite of services designed to meet the unique needs of our community. From providing needs assessment and coordination to offering employment services, Hauora (health) programmes, and youth services, we strive to create an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued, heard, and understood. Our Access Centres serve as hubs for our community, offering a safe space for interaction, learning, and growth. We also host ACE Workshops, specially designed to educate and equip families and professionals with the skills necessary to identify early signs of hearing loss in children, ensuring timely intervention and a brighter future for our young ones. At Deaf Aotearoa NZ, we believe that everyone has the right to lead fulfilling lives, regardless of their hearing abilities. We're not just an organisation; we're a family, bound by shared experiences, mutual respect, and a deep commitment to making a difference. Join us on our journey as we continue to break barriers, foster understanding, and create a more inclusive world for all. Together, we can make a difference, one conversation at a time. Welcome to Deaf Aotearoa NZ - your partner in empowerment.

Bad

“Tony Boyd @ sparkn is a RIP off artist and a crook! Below par work and his workmanship is so bad we had to get an electrical inspection done and they deemed it un safe and a fire risk.”

Disillusioned David Russell Electrical

Misleading would not recommend

“Do not commence work without a written quote unless you are happy to pay exorbitant prices for electrical components, i.e in most cases well above retail. Do not engage in business based on verbal estimates or offers of discounted component prices. In my case, these offers were not honored (fact).”

Incompetent fool

“What can you say about a lawyer who blames his client for not telling him what questions to ask?”

Shona

“Nada is caring, gentle and pays great attention to detail.”

Excellent

“Great service friendly welcome and attention full marks”
