Welcome to C H Allen Limited, a cherished beacon of craftsmanship in the heart of Waikato since 1950. Over seven decades, we've built our reputation on the meticulous art of upholstery and supplies, seamlessly blending tradition with innovation. Stepping into our workshop is like stepping back in time, where the aroma of freshly cut fabrics mingles with the hum of skilled hands at work. Here, each project - from boat and yacht supplies to car trimming and furniture repair - is treated as a unique creative endeavor that's as much about restoring functionality as it is about preserving character. Our team of artisans are not just upholsterers; they're storytellers, breathing new life into your worn-out favorites with techniques such as recovering, riveting, and diamond buttoning. Whether it's a classic boat seat or a beloved armchair, every piece that leaves our workshop is a testament to the enduring spirit of craftsmanship that defines us. But we're not just about preservation. We're forward-thinkers, constantly evolving with the times while staying true to our roots. This balance is reflected in our expansive inventory of modern materials and supplies, ready to cater to your every need. So, whether you're a boat owner looking for sturdy marine-grade fabrics or a car enthusiast seeking that perfect leather upholstery, C H Allen Limited is more than just an upholstery and supplies store. We're a family of craftspeople dedicated to creating heirlooms, stories in waiting, each with their own unique tales to tell. Visit us today and let your story become our next chapter.

Bad
“They do my parents lawn and constantly miss patches leaving long bits. Leave grass clippings on the grass and foot paths. Very rarely do the edges. There Gardner is no better leaving weeds. ”
Unprofessional and incompetent
“Absolutely abysmal service. Doesn't listen and is very disorganised. Appears to have no administrative support so you'll be paying her excessive hourly rate so she can type poorly written emails and double book your appointments. I realise that she already has a poor reputation in Nelson (and now NZ) but my review is entirely based on her substandard service which is, quite frankly, unprofessional. AVOID at all costs. NB - she's created another profile to dodge poor feedback so reposted here”
Worst fish and chips ever.
“I had been a regular customer until today. They must have changed their chips from Mr. CHIPS to some cheap chips which were soaked in oil and contained some double fried left over bits and pieces of dark oil soaked chips. The fish filets were half the amount of the oil drenched batter. We could not eat it and put it in the rubbish bin. I loved to go there in the past but todays order 2 fish fillets and one scoop of chips was not eatable, lets hope everyone else have a better experience.”
