More Information about Beneficiaries Advocacy and Information Service

Since 1980, nestled within the heart of Auckland, Beneficiaries Advocacy and Information Service (BAIS) has stood as a beacon of hope and support for individuals navigating life's challenging moments. As a pioneering welfare organisation, we strive to empower our community with advocacy and assistance in matters related to government benefits, financial aid, and rights entitlements. Our mission is deeply rooted in fostering an environment where every individual can access reliable information and advice, regardless of their circumstances. We understand that seeking help can often feel overwhelming, especially during difficult times; therefore, we make it our priority to create a warm, welcoming space where everyone feels heard, respected, and supported. Our team is composed of dedicated professionals who possess an unwavering passion for social justice. They bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table, ensuring that each person who steps through our doors receives expert guidance tailored to their unique situation. From students navigating their way through university, to women facing unexpected hardships, or non-beneficiaries seeking assistance - we are here to help all members of our diverse community. Over the years, we have built strong relationships with various government agencies, including the Inland Revenue Department (IRD) and their Working for Families programme, allowing us to provide our clients with accurate and up-to-date information about available benefits and support systems. We also offer advice on a range of issues beyond welfare assistance, because we believe that by empowering individuals with knowledge and resources, we can help them thrive in all aspects of life. At BAIS, we are more than just an advocacy service; we are a family who stands together, united in our commitment to make a difference. We invite you to join us on this journey towards a brighter future for all members of our Auckland community.

“25 odd years ago John built me a custom rifle, we discussed the specs I requested and what he's produced is still my favourite rifle and I love it, especially the the beautifully crafted stock and fold out bipod. Out of the hundred rounds packed I still got 37 left. The majority used have hit the mark. Very accurate, peep sight perfection. Thanks for a very special rifle John.”
